Ziggy Marley at Red Butte Garden Worth it

Ziggy Marley at Red Butte Garden

Reggae royalty plays the outdoor amphitheater at Red Butte Garden, tucked in the foothills above the U. It is one of the best concert settings in the state, with the Wasatch as your backdrop and the sun going down over the valley.

๐Ÿ“Address: Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre, 300 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City ยท About 15 minutes from downtown
๐Ÿ’ตCost: Ticketed
โฐTiming: Bring a low chair or a blanket and a layer for when the breeze picks up after sunset. Keep an eye on air quality given the nearby fire.

๐Ÿ“ฐ Around the Valley

Crews work to hold the foothill fire near the U

The fire above Red Butte Garden kept crews busy through the weekend, with smoke settling over the University of Utah and the east bench. Neighbors near the mouth of Red Butte Canyon were warned to prepare in case they need to leave. It is the kind of fast-moving foothill blaze that gets the whole valley nervous when the grass is this dry.

A new apartment project moves ahead in the Hardware District

The District North apartment project in the Hardware District filed for its building permits, another sign of how fast that pocket north of downtown is filling in. A fresh batch of small businesses is on the way to Salt Lake City, with coffee, candy, and pizza spots all in the works. Two Salt Lake City apartment buildings are up for sale, which is the kind of move that can quietly change who owns the place you rent. Investors trading buildings is normal, but it is worth noticing as the city keeps growing. New owners sometimes mean new rents and new management.
