The county fair closes out in South Jordan, a Tongan festival fills Jordan Park, and Saturday finally dries out
Plus the last two performances of Frozen in Sandy, Intermountain shows what it wants to build on the old Sears block, and move-in starts today at the U's new dorm.
Today tops out near 80 and slides back to 78 by afternoon, with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms and a tenth to a quarter inch of rain possible. Tonight drops to 59 with storms still around. Then the pattern quits: Saturday is sunny and 84, Sunday is mostly sunny and 87, and Monday climbs to 90.
So today is the last damp day for a while, and Saturday is the one to build the weekend around. Two things end that day, which makes the timing awkward in a way worth planning for.

If you only pick one, the fair does not come back until next August and Jordan Park does not either.
