Salt Lake City's long-running outdoor summer concert series, in the heart of downtown. Doors in the early evening, music after.
Our take
The easiest big night out downtown all summer. Take TRAX so parking is somebody else's problem.

A proper Saturday morning. Coffee, a pastry, and a walk through the stalls before it gets hot.

Worth it Red Butte Garden
The University of Utah's botanical garden in the foothills, with miles of paths and a well-known summer concert series on select evenings.
Our take
The prettiest easy walk in the valley, and one of the better places in the state to catch a show under the sky.

Details → Worth it Millcreek Canyon
A close-in canyon east of the valley with shaded trails, a creek, and a paved upper road. Dogs are allowed off-leash on alternating days.
Our take
When the Cottonwoods are packed on a Saturday, Millcreek is the move. Shade, water, and a trail for every level.
⚠️ Heads up: Dog rules alternate by day and the upper gate is seasonal. Check the Forest Service status before you drive up.
